Grooming is a subtle art. 

You may be familiar with the concept of “stranger danger.” However, its trusted adults, not strangers, are overwhelmingly more likely to be the perpetrators of sexual abuse and assault against children and teens.  Grooming is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them.

This program teaches girls to recognize grooming behaviors, protect themselves, and set strong boundaries. 

Children and teens can be groomed online or in person, often by someone they know. 

Groomers may use social media, messaging apps, games, or email to build trust and manipulate. Many young people may not realize they’re being groomed and may feel confused or conflicted.

This program teaches girls to recognize red flags, protect personal information, and navigate digital spaces with confidence, boundaries, and self-respect.

Power isn’t always obvious—but it shapes relationships, influence, and choices. This program teaches girls to recognize power imbalances in friendships, dating, school, and online spaces. Girls learn how to respond confidently, set boundaries, and protect themselves while building leadership and self-respect.

Not all relationships are safe or healthy, and it can be hard for young people to recognize when someone is controlling, manipulative, or crossing boundaries. This program helps girls identify red flags in friendships, dating, and online interactions, including manipulation, pressure, jealousy, and inconsistent behavior.
